Objectives

Dale City Baptist Early Learning Program uses the WEE (Weekday Early Education) Learn Curriculum from the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. The children learn to grow and develop as Jesus did - "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man" (Luke 2:52). Each month a theme is presented, and lays a foundation for understanding God and how to live in the world He has created.

Dale City Baptist Early Learning Program offers Music and Bible Classes, Learning Centers, Monthly Theme Units, Theme Days, and special programs.

Concepts and Skills:

The concepts and skills are based on 4 basic areas of development: spiritual , intellectual, physical and social and emotional. These areas of development serve as a guideline since children develop at different levels.

Spiritual:
Develops concepts about God, Jesus, the Bible, church, self, others, family and the world around them.

Intellectual:
Develops listening and speaking skills, uses manipulative (toy, clay, blocks, puzzles, painting etc.) to develop small muscle control.

Physical:
Develops large and small muscles, controls movement and balance skills, learns safety procedures.

Social/Emotional:

Develops healthy concepts about self and others, learns to relate to others and becomes aware of his community around him and works in small and large groups, shows respect for others and their property.

A complete list of the Concepts and Skills for 2,3 and 4 year olds is available upon request.
