When the workload becomes overwhelming, don’t quit!  Be your battlefield downrange, children, work, study, illness, or other life balance, don’t quit! Yes, you may have to rearrange a daily schedule, even cut out the non-essentials or fluff, but don’t quit!
Apostle Paul had even been shipwrecked and another time stoned and left for dead, be he learned to be able to sing at midnight in jail, and admonishes us to “Not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.”  Sometimes we just need to breathe! — deeper, inhaling even to our spirit, look ahead toward the reaping times and learn to endure the battles of the day.  This might require including or rejecting new ideas, modifying our behavior, learning to include and engage and trust the Author of Life Himself.  But not quit!
Perhaps you are in a stage of God building endurance into your life, as He inspired His Apostle Peter to message, “Supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness unto love.” Notice endurance is a characteristic, not the end state.
Father, Thank You for strength to endure.  Remind us when it’s time to sleep and eat to balance, and lead us along Your path of life this day, day by day, trusting You for Your faithful and compassionate presence and leading.  Grant strength and courage, even as You command.
“Those who trust in the LORD — God Himself, will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.”  Don’t quit!  Endure unto love by trusting faith, obedient love, God style. Keep walking!

living w/god: Baptismal speech

I am Desire and this is my son Enrique Gianluca. Today, I am here to share with you how God has changed my life.

For a long time, I wondered why, why things were not happening the way I wanted them to happen, after all, I was working hard, I was providing, I was strong, and I trusted myself.  As I looked for answers, I turned to the world, but the world was not providing answers.  I found myself blind, hopeless, and disoriented, and I lost all perspective. In my desperation, I turned to Christ, and I asked Him to come into my life and free me from this burden and guide me to live for him.

It was not until God heard my request that I received answers. The day that He knocked on my door and I opened my heart to Him was the day I understood I inflicted this pain on myself because, for a long time, I trusted myself instead of trusting Him, I relied on myself when I should rely on His promise. Jesus said on Matthew 11: 28-29 “Come upon Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me. For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul, and My yoke is easy, and my burden is light

When God came into my life, he offered me a new beginning, a new life, and I embraced it with open arms because for the very first time, I understood that I am not alone and I should not be afraid because everything is under His control, not mine, and so I trust Him, and today I declare Him as my savior, my refuge, and my strength.
