Perhaps you role-played as a child, even getting “captured,” lassoed, and tied up!  Loosed is the antithesis, the opposite in power of being bound and bounded.  Mentally loosed is being free to recognize the truth over any pretensions or constraints.  Even in our own country we have become bounded instead of free and unveiled.  Sometimes our “stomachs” are in knots or our heart races against time.  Even our wants overpower and bind us from our needs.
“The man who had died came out (of his tomb), his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth.”  After He had by His voice raised him from being physically dead, “Jesus said to the crowd, “Unbind him, and let him go.””  "Unloose him!” Jesus exclaimed, the state He desires for us all, in any form where we are bound.
Father, thank You for the newness of this year.  Search us and try us, knowing even our thoughts and hearts and expose any way where we are bound, then lead us by Your right power and light to be loosed for our benefit and life, and for Your honor.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”  Liberty.  Allow, ask this same Spirit of Christ to grant you the light of wisdom and revelation now and through this new year, looking to Him to unloose you where you may be bound in life, into the trust and freedom God offers anew, for the Son is Truth Who will set you free indeed; free from all hate and fear that is bondage, even that of your habits.  Be loosed!
‭‭John‬ ‭11‬:‭44‬, Psalm 139:23-24, ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬, Ephesians 1:17, Hebrews 12:2, John 8:32, 36 ESV‬‬

living w/god: Baptismal speech

I am Desire and this is my son Enrique Gianluca. Today, I am here to share with you how God has changed my life.

For a long time, I wondered why, why things were not happening the way I wanted them to happen, after all, I was working hard, I was providing, I was strong, and I trusted myself.  As I looked for answers, I turned to the world, but the world was not providing answers.  I found myself blind, hopeless, and disoriented, and I lost all perspective. In my desperation, I turned to Christ, and I asked Him to come into my life and free me from this burden and guide me to live for him.

It was not until God heard my request that I received answers. The day that He knocked on my door and I opened my heart to Him was the day I understood I inflicted this pain on myself because, for a long time, I trusted myself instead of trusting Him, I relied on myself when I should rely on His promise. Jesus said on Matthew 11: 28-29 “Come upon Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me. For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul, and My yoke is easy, and my burden is light

When God came into my life, he offered me a new beginning, a new life, and I embraced it with open arms because for the very first time, I understood that I am not alone and I should not be afraid because everything is under His control, not mine, and so I trust Him, and today I declare Him as my savior, my refuge, and my strength.
