Dale City Baptist is blessed to have a leadership team of elders, deacons, and ministry directors who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following is our Constitution & Bylaws.

Senior Pastor

Currently, our church is without a Senior Pastor. However, we remain committed to proclaiming the truth of God’s Word and providing support and service to our church families. We will continue to pray and seek God’s guidance during this time, eagerly anticipating His direction in the days ahead. You can read the job description for our future full-time Senior Pastor here. 

In the meantime, please continue to be in prayer for the Holy Spirit to bring God's chosen man to pastor our church in the future. We have a Prayer Guide for Our Pastor Search you can use as a guide. 

While we wait, we are experiencing a variety of guest speakers, which has served to keep our worship experiences fresh and enlightening.

Pastor Jay & Robin Gray

Family Ministries

Pastor Jay and Robin Gray have served in ministry together for nearly 20 years, many of those at Dale City Baptist. They've lead children's, youth and family ministries, while Jay has also served in various leadership and teaching roles. Robin has lead women's and preschool ministries, and spends time mentoring young ladies in various stages of life. In all areas of ministry, their focus is on teaching the Word of God and helping people grow and walk in their faith.

Church Secretary

Always here to help, Barbara has served as Church Secretary for many years, providing caring administrative support to the church's leadership, ministries, and individual members.  With a great love for our church and its people, she is always ready to use her knowledge and skills to assist in any way possible.

Music Director

HISTORY OF DALE CITY BAPTIST


Dale City Baptist Construction had hardly begun in Dale City in the mid-1960s when the

Potomac Baptist Association and Triangle Baptist Church in Triangle, Virginia, felt the leadership of God

to begin mission work in this new community.

In the spring of 1968, Rev. James E. Duncan, Jr. was called to become the first pastor of the Dale City

Baptist Church (DCBC). He served faithfully as Senior Pastor/Teacher until he passed away in January

1987.

Following Rev. Duncan’s death, Pastor Jeffrey L. White was called to be the second Senior

Pastor/Teacher of DCBC. He served from November 1988 until November 1997. Pastor White remained

in that area of service until he left to accept the call from another Southern Baptist Church.

In January 1999, Rev. Perry Jordan was called to be the third Senior Pastor/Teacher of DCBC. He served in that

capacity until he retired in October 2018. It was the same year that the church celebrated its 50th year

of ministry.

On September 6, 2020, Dr. Richard Edds began his ministry as only the fourth Senior Pastor/Teacher in

the history of DCBC. Pastor Edds ministry at DCBC ended on May 22, 2023.

Over its 55-year history, DCBC has been faithful to proclaiming the inerrant, infallible truth of

the Word of God. Our church is committed to the sufficiency of the Scriptures as our supreme authority

in all spiritual and personal matters. We believe that the teachings contained in the Holy Bible provide

God-inspired, absolute, and objective truth that provides clear instructions on what is necessary for

salvation and Christian growth.

In addition, two of our Pastors, Rev. Duncan and Rev. Jordan, continued to pursue their Biblical studies

while serving as Senior Pastor/Teacher and ultimately received their Doctorates.
